Common questions
Why is my database hibernating?+
Free databases hibernate after 1 hour of inactivity and wake on the next connection (typically 1-5 seconds). Paid plans hibernate after 6 hours, and pinning a database to your always-on pool keeps it from hibernating entirely.
Read moreHow do I restore an archived database?+
Open the database in the /cloud dashboard and click Restore. This is the only way to bring an archived database back; archived databases reject connection attempts at the network level.
Why does Cloud use FerretDB instead of MongoDB?+
MongoDB's SSPL license restricts how managed providers can offer it. FerretDB implements the MongoDB wire protocol on top of PostgreSQL, so your existing drivers and queries work without changes. Apache 2.0 licensed.

Free requires no credit card, hibernates databases after 1 hour of idle, and includes 8 free-tier engines. Solo ($5/mo) and Pro ($15/mo) are flat monthly fees that unlock every engine, more databases, and an always-on pool, plus optional add-ons (extra pool blocks at $10/mo and team seats at $3/mo).
